TransferDatabase in MDE

In an Access 2002 MDE, is there a way to Export out a
Table or Report to a brand new MDB database? When I use
the TransferDatabase command, I get an error telling me I
cannot export objects from an MDE. However, if I keep the
database as a MDB, I am able to export my Report and Table
out to a new MDB.

i think you can export a table from MDE (at least you can import from it
into other database), but report - you can't

Yup...you are correct. I was able to export just my table
from my MDE, but not my Report.

Is there no way to export a Report from an MDE to a new
MDB?

As the report could have code behind it, and the code is
stripped away and only saved as compiled code, I doubt you
could.

agree, this is by design

But it's probably fairly easy to recreate the report in another mdb and
base it on a query based on linked tabledefs from the original file.
