Sorry but i'm not that great at all this stuff...so here goes a real simple
question. My hard drive is dying a slow death and I have a new one to
install. When trying to copy all of my files and settings, I get as far as
putting a cdr or cdrw in the drive and then it tells me that the disk is
corrupt or not the right one......It says that everything will fit on 54
floppies or 100 mb disk....What do I do?

Hi Max,

First this is a wrong NG for this kind of questions, this NG is for Windows
XP Embedded.
You should try microsoft.public.windowsxp.general, or even some other group,
that deal with these kind of problems.

BTW:
What CD, or floppy has to do with what you are trying to do?
If your HDD if failing burning CD from OS started from this disk can damage
even more your disk (in case you can still boot from it)

Use your new HDD, connect is as primary master, install XP on your OS on it.
Attach old HDD, on let say secondary master (other connector on
motherboard).
Boot new XP, and use it to copy files to new disk.

Slobodan
