I purchased a new harddrive and used Norton Ghost to clone
my XP system to the new disk. When I try to boot the new
disk XP starts to load, but stops at a blue screen with
the XP logo and stays there. The mouse works but the
desktop never loads. Any ideas?? I have tried three times
to transfer the system with the same results.

this is because the hadrware hdd information and other
such stuff differs any way press f8 while windows xp
boots -up select safe mode and go to command prompt and
type chkdsk.exe /f

Gerry,

have you removed the old drive and properly changed the
master-slave jumpers?

Please see also http://www.michna.com/kb/WxMove.htm.
