Google the following - transfer outlook settings - and you
will see a number of third-party utilities that will help
you. There is no easy way as those settings are buried in
the Registry, but those apps help. I personally use
OutSource-XP 2 and it works great for backing up and
transferring all your settings. It works for 2002 and XP,
might work for 200. If not, there are others.
UNFORTUNATELY AFAIK(and this is yet another example of MS not doing
joined-up thinking) the account settings files that you can export from
Outlook 2000 are NOT readable by Outlook 2002! Doh! (Do MS really not think
about this? It's the same with Windows backup - XP won't read W98! It just
seems incredibly stupid to me, a mere mortal)
Copy your pst file to the new machine and open it. (The pst file contains
all your emails, contacts, calendar, tasks etc). You will have to set up
your email accounts manually, due to the above MS blunder.
