I got a new laptop with Office XP version 2002. All my
Oulook information and emails are on my old laptop which
has Microsoft Professional 2000. I had organized a lot of
the emails and attachments in folders and subfolders. Is
there a way I can easily transfer this information
including my contact list to my new laptop?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I do that all the time..daily actually. Each day I copy the file named mailbox.pst from my laptop to my desktop, and reverse the procedure in the morning. Just do a search for all the mailbox.pst files on your system, and then copy it to the new system. Check the file dates to make sure you have the right file, many systems appear to several copies hanging around. To find the right one, open outlook on that system, and then close it. It will update the date of the file with the current date, so now if there are more than one mailbox.pst files hanging around you can tell the right one because it'll have the current date and time.

Hope this helps you.

Oh by the way, I have found that sometimes doing this copies the email account info, and sometimes you will have to reconfigure your email accounts back in.
