Transfer Files Using DOS

I've got windows ME installed on C: I'll format that disk
then I wanna put all my data in D: to C: so I'll have to
do it thru DOS isnt it. After that I'll install XP on D:/
Now do you get it so could you suggest sumthing like if I
put all data into one folder say NEW then whats the
command to transfer this folder to the other drive thru
DOS. Also these are not proggies just normal video, audio
etc.

Use the files and transfer settings wizard on the XP CD. XP does not have
MS-DOS.
