I am trying to restore my files and settings from my laptop hard drive that
is no longer bootable. I have it in an enclosure, and can read the files from
my laptop with the replacement hard drive, but I cannot figure out how to
transfer the files and settings.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

A lot of it you you may not be able to get easily.
I would just copy the Desktop and My Documents, perhaps your favorites,
maybe the Outlook PSTs and/or the Outlook Express directories... And
anything else you saved yourself (created, etc.) However - if you have a
clean installation going on the new drive - I wouldn't move much else.

Now - since the hard disk drive is readable in the way you state - you could
probably image it, apply it to the new hard disk drive and have everything
the same.
