I have two computers both running xp, and I have a USB
cable which connects them together.

How to set up a connection between the two computers so
that I can transfer files between them? The 'direct cable
connection' setup only has the choices of serial, parallel
or infrared connection, which are slow when compared to
USB.

Thanks.

OMG just get network cards and a hub, that is not a good
way to transfer files and it is very difficult, network
10Mb network cards are cheap $5 or so, a hub is about $10
at CompUSA and then you will have a real network, that USB
crap is buggy and does not always work.

USB Direct Cable connection:

However, NIC is the reliable option.
