transfer between 2 external hard drives

Hi all,
I have two external hard drives and I want to make transfer between
them.. Can I connect both of them at the same time and make the
transfer?
Does this action cause any problem? I want to use my laptop for this
transfer?

Usually.

The only time you might have a problem is if both
external drives are powered from the cable to the
laptop. It might not be able to power both at once.

As long as you do not confuse the drives and transfer in the
wrong direction, there should not be a problem.

Exception: If these are interface-powerd 2.5" drives, your
Laptop possibly cannot support them both at the same time.
In this case I would advise you to use a powered hub.
