transfer all appointments from one calendar to another

Since my pst file size grew more than 1 gig, I created a new pst file and
configured it. There are many appointments and meetings scheduled in the old
pst file's calender.

1. Is there a way I can migrate the appointments from the calender of old
PST to the new? or
2. Is there a way I can set up so that I recieve reminders and notifications
for the appointments from both the old calender and the new one?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

1) Use a table view and drag the appointments to the new calendar. Or export
from the old and import into the new.
