I know this has been done to death, but a Google search has left me less
than confident about how to do this. I want to take my settings from Word
(as part of Office 2000) to a new machine with a new, clean install of
Office 2003.
I think I know how to transfer "normal.dot" and "custom.dic". I believe
that the autocorrect information should be in a version of "msoxxxx.acl". I
should be able to find the (most recent) old one, rename it the same as the
most current equivalent on the new computer, and overwrite. Is there a
better way to do this? I've read a couple of things that hint there is an
automated way to export these files.
