Hi,

I'm sorry I'm posting in the wrong group, but this is the one I have
subscribed and I want to know your opinion because a lot of you have
probably gone through the certification process.

I'm trying to decide if I should take training courses or not. It'll cost
5K for unlimited training for 1 year, not including the cost of the test.

Should I just buy books and CD training software, or spend the money for the
classes. Also, which books and software would you recommend.

I already have a degree in CIS and have been managing 25 PCs and 3 servers
running Win2k and WinNT.

Thanks for your input!

Sherry

I've done an MCSE twice. If you've set up Active
directory and support a network just get the books.

Nobody can answer this but you. If you can't/won't learn enough from
the books, then training might be a wise investment. Otherwise you
could use the cash to buy some equipment to learn on. Though I would
have thought a degree in CIS would've earned you a few certifications,
it at least should have helped you decide whether or not you can learn
if self-taught.
