Hello, not sure if this is even possible, but I was asked to find out if
there is a way to check how users use the Internet at out company. I'm
looking for an easy solution hopefully. It would even be sufficient to check
the History folder occasionally once the user logs off, but most everyone is
in the "good habit" of cleaning their tracks before logging off.

Is there a way (with Group Policy) to prevent users delete their own cookies
and history before logging off, so we could check their folders once the
users have logged off if needed?

I'm aware that I could access their active (local) folders across the
network, but I'm just looking for a reliable way to do this once they are
gone, and be able to grab their entire history in case they clear it several
times a day.

I hate to be the bad guy at work, but I suppose that's my job. We do state
in out company manual that email and internet is to be used for company
business only, and that we can monitor things as needed (the wording is
better, but it's stated)

I'm evaluating "Websense", and it seems nice, but probably overkill for what
we're looking for.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sam,

This is what ISA 2000 does well!

I am not sure how you would do this via GPO. But this is just off the top
of my head.

HTH,

Cary
