Tracking number of visits

If I check under Favorites properties for any individual webpage, it
lists the number of visits. That number is always incorrect.
For instance I have visited one website 2-3 times daily for the
past 3 years but it only says that I have visited it 34 times.

How do I make tracking the number of visits more accurate?
