How does one track what websites are visited by users of a
Client--Server network? Clients PC's are W2K PRO SP2 and
Servers are all W2K Server. I am trying to find out how
to determine who is accessing all the "Bad" sites around
the environment. Much appreciation to those who can
assist.

Using a proxy server such as Microsoft ISA could do that in a very detailed
way, but that is a product that is going to cost probably $1500 or so and
have a learning curve. Some of the internet appliances made by Netgear,
D-link [or Sonic Wall for bigger networks] and such can also do various
kinds of logging depending on the model. Most of the manufactures have their
uses manuals available at their websites to read before making a purchase.
Software vendors also make software to track internet usage, but again read
the info on their websites before ordering as to what they do and what it
takes to implemet the product. --- Steve
