Is there a way to track changes within an existing
PowerPoint document to show the changes, much like is done
in Microsoft Word?

Depends on the version of PowerPoint. If you have 2002 or 2003, there is a
"Presentation for Review" file type you can e-mail out. Type "Send a
presentation for review" in the "Answer wizard" box to see the help.

If you have older versions, best way is to either use the "Meeting Minutes"
feature while in Slide Show mode, or by inserting comments on respective
slides.

I haven't really used this new feature, but I'm sure someone else will pop
in with good advice (assuming you have a newer version of PowerPoint).
