i'm a beginner with VBA and i'm trying to track changes in Excel 2003 for a range of columns (specifically column U to column CQ). i'd like to capture on a separate hidden sheet the author, the original value, the new value, date of change and time of change.
the reason why i'm not using the built in Track Changes is because it's very cumbersome and i'm trying to do this all in the background with no impact to other users.
the columns are static but new rows are added all of the time so i would just be looking to capture the entire column.
i'm running Windows XP SP2. any help?? thanks in advance.
