I am editing a small book (280 pp). Tried the track
changes feature, didn't like it because it is too slow,
and couldn't get rid of it. The text did gray out, but
the "TRK" was still highlighted at the bottom and when I
tried to continue typing, the od text, without the
changes kept popping up.
Tried everything on the Help menu, ended up calling
Microsoft tech, he told me to first print the entire doc
on a new page and mark it #2. Then it took him about 9
steps, it it appeared gone. However, when I printed the
doc out, I got the old Track Changes Version in with the
new material. OK. But thereafter, when I print the doc
out as I must to proofread, the pages do not print out in
order. Get about 1-30, then 150-202, then another chunk
and so on. I then shut off "Insert page numbers", then
clicked it back. Same problem. Copied doc onto another
new page, clicked Insert Page Numbers. Same problem.
l. Please help me figure out what is wrong. (Printing
is OK with all other doc.)
2. Also, how can I get rid of Track Changes by myself
next time?
My thanks!
