TR 20000 tapes lifespan

Hi

Does somebody know the lifespan of Travan 20/40 Gb tapes ? How many
times can I use them ?

Not too often. And you need to clean the drive head every 100
uses or so. Concrete limitations depend on many factors.
One good approach is to do complete verify of each backup.
If you get errors, clean drive head and try again. If you
still have errors, discard the tape.

Personal opinion: Travan is a taoy and not fit for anything
critical like a backup.
