You can disable the touchpad through the system BIOS. The
manual that came with your PC should have instructions on
how to do. If you do not have it, go to the website of
your laptop maufactor's website. They should have the
manuel on there site somethere.

Depending on the make, it is not always necessary to go into the BIOS.
For example, my Acer uses Function/F7 to disable the touchpad.
