I haven't been able to use IE6 for the past couple of weeks.

The problem I've been having has been described and diagnosed on this board
many times. I can't load IE6 and I get an error message that apologizes for
the inconvenience and asks me if I want to send an error report. I've tried
everything that was suggested to all the others having this problem, to no
avail. I tried the fix option, I reinstalled win98se, I looked for the
option of disenabling 3rd party browser extensions, but I can't find it in
win98se.

I even get the ie6 error message when I access the internet via windows
explorer! Outlook Express works fine. You good people on this board are my
only hope. HELP!!!!!

Thanks
Norm

Norm,
I've heard that some installs of IE6 don't have the "Enable third party..."
option. I don't know why. Do you have easy access to another computer? Any
chance you have another browser on this computer?

Please reply to this thread.

I have recently been plagued with the same problem. It
started while I was overseas and my wife started having
some problems opening IE6. When I got home found the
error message described in a previous post.

Tried reloading IE from system disc but it would not
reload the older version. Followed the advice given and
totally removed IE6 and reloaded per instructions and the
problem persists. I can open a browser window by a right
click on the IE icon and then selecting 'Open Home Page'
or 'Browse' but then I will still get an error message.

When I get the details, it now says "IExplorer caused an
invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll at 0197:bffa388"
and it will not open a window from and links in the open
window..
The system is Windows98, we have never had any problem
before.

help! ~tom
