Please help. I have a Toshiba laptop that shuts down by
itself. I don't believe that it's related to the Blaster
virus because it doesn't do the countdown that I've read
that the Blaster does. Also, it doesn't matter if I'm in
Normal Mode or in Safe Mode, it will still shutdown by
itself.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Rodney Brown

Rodney,

If you have a Satellite Model 1800, go to the Toshiba
Support web site and download and install the latest BIOS.

If that doesn't fix the problem it will require a trip to the service
center to repair a known hardware problem.
