Toshiba DVD SD-R6112 Problems burning DVD's

-- I have been having a hard time burning DVD's - my DVD burner says it will
only write at 2X speed but the DVD's I have say they are 16Xcould that be the
problem? Can I upgrade my drive?

Sure, just purchase a faster one. Since it's a notebook, you may want to
have it professionally installed.
