I have a new Toshiba DVD-ROM SDM2012C drive. None of my CD burning software
recognizes it. How/where can I find a place to purchase appropriate software
for THIS device?

A DVD-ROM drive is a read-only drive, not a burner. That is why no cd
burning software will recognize it. If you want a burner, you'll need
to purchase a DVD/CD-RW drive.

My bad. When I bought the system, I thought it was a burner. Bummer.
