Hi.
A month on so back, I purchased myself an external hard drive to
accommodate my videos etc.
There have been two times the hard drive has been disconnected from my
computer and this was to take it round to my friends house to transfer
large files from my HDD to his computer.
However, after bringing it back the second time and plugging it back
in, I got a pop-up message saying something along the lines of,
"This device could run faster if it were connected to a USB 2.0 port.
Click here for a list of available ports."
But the hard drive IS connected to a 2.0 port. And I'm sure of this
because,
a) It says 2.0 above the port.
and
b) I've tried every port on my computer.
I've never received this message till now and now all the files on my
external HDD are taking MUCH longer to transfer.
It does not require defragmentation.
I have used 78.5 GB of the full capacity (which has not changed since
I last used it on my computer)
Can anyone help me at all? :\
