toop.exe process has appeared in my W2K system. It loads
at startup and has to be manually stopped before shutting
down. Can't find it on hard drive with Search. Does anyone
know what it is? Is it a security risk? Can I get rid of
it? When I stop the application thru Task Manager, I don't
detect any ill effects, but it is a pain.

Hello Jack,

I am not sure what it is, but if you would like to prevent it from starting
up on your system the following KB should be able to help you -

Hard to say, it's not related to windows for sure.
I would stop it from loading using msconfig, ande see if
any errors come up.
