Hi,

I posted this message in ms.fp.programing. Not sure if it was in correct
group.

Using FP2000 on W2K machine with IIS5. When using tools>web
settings>database, I establish a connection, verify and close. When I reopen
the dialog box the connection has disappeared. I have tried 'File & Folder
in Current Web' and 'System DSN'. The global.asa shows the changes I make to
the 'Name'. I have looked at the ASP code on pages and so forth. I have also
reset the ODBC's. Nothing seems to work.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Andy

Make sure that application root setting is set for web under IIS MMC for the specific web's home
directory.

Thanks for the heads-up Thomas. I have copied the help files and will start
working on the problem. I have my web in the inetpub\wwwroot directory which
has several packages so I'm not sure where to make the app. root. Wwwroot
has IIS Admin, IIS Samples, Help, WebPub, MSADC, and my pages listed below
that. Would I be better creating a virtual directory with only my web pages
within? And make that directory the app. root?
Thanks Again for your help.

You need to open the default web in FP, then create a folder for your web site, then right click and
convert to subweb / subsite, then you open this subweb under IIS and set the application root.
