I set the properties in the Tools / Startup dialog box so that no toolbars
show when the database fires up. Problem is that I hadn't finished putting
the database together and now i cannot get to my menu bar
(file,edit,view,insert, tools, etc)

How do I change the startup settings now ?

Hold the shiftkey down while you open the database. That'll bypass the
startup settings and any autoexec macro.

Thank you, I've stopped crying now !!!!

If the database is secured, meaning linked to System.mdw file, directly
clicking on the .mdb file while holding down shift key can only let me view
the Tools menu and other menus that were intentionally hidden, I can
check/uncheck show/hide partial menus checkbox. However, I can not save the
changes to the setting since I bypass the login screen that I usually access
through a shortcut icon with "/WRKGRP" switch.

Any hints to let MS Access show all menus as usual for secured database will
be highly appreciated.

Hold the shift key down when you open it using your shortcut.
