I have a number of links in the TOOLS menu internet
explorer 6 - does anybody know how to get rid of these
links. Many thanks

Use Regedit.exe and remove the item. It should be under here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions

I had the same problem with the links in the tools i went
into regedit like you said and deleted them from there
