I've used several versions of word for a number of years,
and in using Word 2000 (with ME O/S) I'm encountering
something that has not happened before. When I use the
tools menu to print envelopes, it seems that another entry
or "station" for "Mail Merge" goes onto the drop down
menu. I'm unable to find anyway to delete these
many "Mail Merge" notations despite trying in seveal
books. (I tried the Que book...and the Word 2000 Bible.
So any suggestion about the single best reference source
too?)

Many, many thanks in advance for any attempt at helping me.

Hi Patrick,

The following was originally posted by fellow MVP Graham Mayor:

These are attributable to a bug in the Microsoft Works for Windows add-in.
This add-in causes loads of problems and you are unlikely to miss it.
When you remove the Word in Works Suite Add-in:
You remove Word 2000 from the Works Suite Task Launcher.
You lose the word processor functions on the Works Suite Task Launcher.
You must start Word 2000 in the following manner: Click Start, point to
Programs, and then click Microsoft Word
Uninstall it as follows:
1.. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3.. Click Word in Works Suite Add-in, and then click Add/Remove.
4.. Click Next, click Remove, and then click Next.
5.. Click Remove, and then click Finish.
6.. Click OK, and then close Control Panel.
You should then be able to drag all but one entry from the Word menu, using
Tools > customize
