The Toolbar in Windows Explorer now only has Organize, Views, and Burn
showing. How do I get the other options back?

Thanks, CB

No - I mean the Toolbar that is below that. I want to Add a New Contact to
my Contacts. The toolbar line only shows Organize, Views, and Burn. Isn't it
also supposed to show Add a New Contact?

CB,

This happens when the folder template gets changed by accident. You can
fix this by right clicking on a empty area in the right pane of the
Contacts folder window and click "Customize This Folder", then change
the folder template to "Contacts". You can see how to do this here if
needed.

Yes that worked. Don't know how that happened.

I looked at the website you posted and it looks like a great forum. I'm
running Vista Home Premium 32-Bit. Is there a separate forum for 32-bit or
should I join that one?

Many thanks, CB

And note that most of those tutorials are posted by someone in the Newsgroup, which can you can check out at Google Groups archive as well.

It's just a compilation, not invention!

Quite the contrary IMHO. There is a lot to offer at the forums. Many
tutorials on all kinds of things. When I first got Vista, I got all
kinds of things messed up. I dove in as if it was just like W2K, which
was my last OS. I was about to downgrade to XP when I found this place
(Thanks to Brink-Thank you Brink). I also like that the forums are
MODERATED.

Too much info - I'm confused. I got to this newsgroup via Microsoft
Communities which I got to through Windows Mail, News. I don't see an
overlap of the Vista x64 forum and this newsgroup.

I've only had Vista for a couple of weeks after many years of XP. I don't
want to be a pest and cross post too often. Do you have any suggestions as
to when I should post here and when there?

Personally, setting up a newsgroup reader is the easiest way. You don't need a login name/password etc.

See here CB:

Article: How to: Set Up Newsgroups in Windows Mail:
http://support.cox.com/sdccommon/as...sprt_cid=285b1ded-6ed2-42d9-ac7b-9ad40513af96

Important: In Step #6, mention the news server address for Microsoft Newsgroups. It is "msnews.microsoft.com"

Once done, you can subscribe to any number of newsgroups (Vista/XP/Office... and many more)

P.S. Don't know how I would have survived the introduction to Vista without
these newsgroups. I am subscribed to several of them. Thanks to all.
