I know this is stupid but when I go on the internet I can
not seem to shrink the height of the top most toolbar.
This is the one with [FILE EDIT VIEW FAVORITES TOOLS HELP].

The system at work is very narrow but my home system is
twice the vertical height and I can not shrink it down. I
am trying to maximize viewing area.

Right click the toolbar and make sure Lock Toolbars is not checked.
