Hey everyone, I added my documents and favorites to the toolbar for quick
access. When I shut down the computer and reboot these items don't come up.
I have to manually put them in. I have it set up like this on the other
accounts and it works fine. It acts like it's not remembering my settings
when I log out. Has anyone had this problem before? It could be a setting,
but I don't know which one.

Murray,

If you are referring to Quick Launch, the problem may be due to corrupt StructRects registry key or if NoSaveSettings is set to 1. See Taskbar Repair Tool from Kelly: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm

I'm truly sorry Ramesh, I meant the taskbar. After I put my docs and
favorites on the taskbar, they'll stay there. But when I log out and later
turn the computer back on they won't be reinstalled on the taskbar, I have
to put them back on it. This only happens on my account, not anyone elses.
I looked at the taskbar repair tool, but don't exactly know what to select.

Select "Minimized Programs missing" from the drop-down (i mean, in the Taskbar Repair tool) and choose Repair.

Hey Ramesh, before I received your reply, I went into the registry under
hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\current
version\policies\explorer and changed the no save settings field from 1 to
0. I rebooted and that appeared to correct the problem. If it continues to
give me trouble in the future, I'll put it back on 1 and use the taskbar
repair tool as you suggested. Thank you very much, Murray
