I recently started to add a verizon.net diagnostic program. Verizon is my
ISP. I removed the app but on the tool bar in the upper right corner I have
black background with a large white V and scrolling ticker tape. There used
to be a spinning globe from MS in this area.

No one at tech support at Verizon can help me remove it. I can not find it
for positive in my registry.

Can anyone help with the name or how to remove it?

You have been yet another victim of ISP "branding" - most annoying!
Use this tool from MS MVP, Doug Knox -
