toolbar keeps being taken over

I somehow got pointed to a site that was not where I
wanted to go. this site installed a toolbar that I can't
get rid of. I reset my toolbars to where I want them, but
everytime I start IE it is back to this other toolbar. Is
there any way to uninstall toolbars. Please help. My next
step is reinstalling.

ToolbarCop from http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/ should be able to remove the
toolbar. Try it first.

You probably have other adware, spyware, parasites on your computer.

Download, install, *update* and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/

You have been hijacked! Do a Google search for HiJack This! download and
run it. Always use a firewall, anti-virus software and check out some
applications for finding and deleting adware like Pest Patrol, SpyBot Search
and Destroy and Pest Patrol. Google for these and use them.
