toolbar icon won't restore page

I can't find an answer to this problem. Hopefully someone
can help.
When I diminish a pageI'm viewing in IE6 to the tool bar
on the bottom of the screen after ten minutes or so I
can't click on it to bring the page back. If I right
click and chose restore nothing happens.Sometimes there
will be "=" in front of the icon on the toolbar.What's
happening?????
