The toolbar on Internet Explorer turned to orange and
shows pumpkins and bats. No idea why or how. Maybe
changed by my daughter. But I cannot figure out how to
change it back or to something else. Can anyone help me?

Perhaps she installed a toolbar wallpaper application like Hotbar?
See if there is any uninstall.

If not, then try removing the wallpaper from the Registry with
Regedit.exe
It should be under this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
Delete the value "BackBitmapIE5"

....Alan

Or, try this:

Click Start | Run | and type the following commands one by one: and press Enter

"Rundll32 IedkCS32.dll, Clear"

[Also clears out the browser customizations]

Alan, I did what you suggested and it worked. Looks like
she had a Comet wallpaper installed. Thank very much.
Now I don't have to look at pumpkins and bats anymore.
And thank you to Ramesh also. I didn't try your
suggestion, but I appreciate you taking the time to help
me. Thanks again to both of you.
