Hi

I am trying to install the new Bing Toolbar.
It is installed in my laptop but it does not appear on the screen.
I know it is installed because when I tried to install it again I was informed that it was installed.
I have read a few articles on the subject but cannot find an answer.
When I look at the manage add ons page it shows the Bing Bar enabled.
On the add on type box the Toolbar and extension box has what looks like a no entry sign in red.
I guess this is the problem.
It looks to me as if something needs turning on but dont know what.
Any help appreciated.

I would start by going to Tools | Toolbars and make sure Bing is checked, assuming you're talking about getting this to show in Internet Explorer.

I have gone to tools but toolbars is not listed. Do you mean Manage add ons.
The Bing Bar is enabled which I guess means it is turned on (checked).

Oops... I'm having some mental issues today, it seems. Go to View | Toolbars and see if it is checked there.

Done that, menu bar, fav bar, comand bar and status bar are checked. Am I missing something.

I have no experience with it myself, I'm mostly shooting in the dark. You could try uninstalling and reinstalling the toolbar to see if that helps. Past that, hopefully someone else has a better answer for you.

Good Luck!

Don't use Bing but is it Tools > Manage Add Ons > Search Providers. Bing should be listed there and needs to be enabled, I think.
