Toolbar, Address Bar

I right click the task bar and check the Address. The
word "Address" comes up without any space to type the url
in.........what's wrong?
 
I'm not sure if this is your problem:-

To make the address bar longer or shorter, drag the Move handle on the
Address bar to the left or right
