tool to recover files from corrupt NTFS partition

Can anyone recommend a (free) tool(s) to recover as many files as possible off of a corrupt NTFS partition? Any help is appreciated.
 
Hi, Me.

R-Studio ($70 download from www.r-tt.com last time I checked) saved my
"lost" files last year when Chkdsk couldn't run on a 25 GB NTFS volume.
