For some reason the tool bar that expands so I can view the calendar in 1
day, 5 work week 7 week and 31 month has dissappeared. How do I get it back?

With Outlook closed try deleting outcmd.dat and restart Outlook. You will
lose all command-bar customizations.
If that doesn't help try resetting the view - with that view shown - View |
Current View | Customize Current View click "reset current view".

BillR, thanks for replying. I went to view within Outlook and reset and
nothing happen. Am I suppose to restart my computer for something to happen?
The other option of deleting outcmd.dat I am not familiar with. Please
walk me through that process.

No on the restart. It should fix it straight away.

For outcmd.dat:
1. Exit Outlook;
2. Locate the OUTCMD.DAT file.
If you are running Windows XP and you installed Outlook on its default path,
you can find the file in "C:\Documents and Settings\-USER-\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook", where "-USER-" if the name of your Windows login
account. If not, search your local disk for the filename;
3. Rename the OUTCMD.DAT file to a different filename;
4. Restart Outlook.

Note that you might be navigating through hidden folders above so ensure
your options are set to show hidden files and folders,

BillR, I am a litte concern about going this route for fear of losing my
email, contacts etc. What if I reloaded my Office 2003 disk? Do you think
that will bring back that tool bar w/o deleting any email, contacts etc. ?

Deleting the outcmd.dat file won't affect any of your Outlook data. It
resets the toolbars.

That won't help.
