Tool bar art

Some how a "Merry Christmas" message has gotten put in my
tool bar backround, it is a message in orange letters with
a snow man.

How can I get rid of this. It just showed up in Dec, 2003

As the person who did it.
If unknown....
You may have to determine how he added it.
If he used a program like Hotbar, then it may still be installed.
If so, see if it allows removal of the skin before uninstalling it.

If he used the Registry, then you should remove it from there with
Regedit.exe
It is probably under this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
Remove these if present:
"BackBitmap"
"BackBitmapIE5"
