There was a post in a NG done on a kelly GREEN solid background with
WHITE text,so I tried to print it out & although my paper came out with
a full, solid BLACK background it actually PRINTED the text,in
white, clearly!,but if I was to try to print THIS page out it would come
out just ALL black & NO text!

Both ink cartridges are new so they are fine! I have tried & tried to
disconnect the only 2 plugs,to plug them back in,and even though I
squeeze the two metal pieces, one on top & the other on opposite end they
will not BUDGE! There was even a picture below the post I mentioned,
regarding white text on kelly green
background which also came out clear as a bell!,in all white!,but it
takes a LOT of wayyyy too much black ink to print even that!,but I just
keep hoping! :)))

Probably no more you can do for me & I understand that, but just thought
you might find this interesting or curious.

Sincerely,
Nan ^<>-<>^

The previous work we did proved that the printer itself was working fine
because the test print was good.
The connector you are trying to remove needs the two metal spring clips to be
pushed "away" from the plug body, they need a little force but not much, when
they spring free you should be able to remove the plug. Then replace it in the
same position, this will clean the pins if they are contaminated, push the
connector firmly home. You can then push the spring clips back where they were.
If this does not fix the problem, I strongly believe you need to ask someone
who understands WebTV for help, it appears that nobody who frequents this
newsgroup does.
Have you tried to ask for help in the alt.binaries.online-service.webtv
newsgroup? Alternatively you may need to get someone to come in and help you.

Why don't you just make a negative print from Irfanview.
Black text on a white background.

Thank you!! Guess I better do as you suggest & try to find someone to
come in,check it out and is strong enough to get that biggest plug loose
enough to eject. I tried pinching the 2 metal pieces, together, but you
have given me other instructions, as to how to go about it,so will keep
trying!

It is just so curious to me why the color of the text and background on
the TV screen would make the decision to print,or NOT to print!!!! ???
:) and am sorry but I don't know what "Irfanview" means. It may just have
to do with regular computers & as you say,Tony, this group are computer
owners, & not web tv owners & of course going to a NG of JUST web owners
IS another good idea IF I can find one, that is.I will try. :)

You are a VERY intelligent group!

Gratefully,
Nan~

Black text on a white background.

Maybe because she's using WebTV and not a PC?
