Too quiet...

Do you agree that the virus front is too quiet just now? After Swen
there has not been a major new virus outbreak. Maybe the virus writers
are waiting for defenses go down and the... Aftr this summers/autums
virus bombing we are quite tired of them now.

No, I rekon, they've decided it there actions have caused grief, and in
light of that, the have decided to stop. We can all, therefore, throw away
our anti-virus software. .

Just finished redoing my filter rules....

do you agree that it's about time that people realize that virus
incidents are about as predictable as earthquakes? we know there will
be more but we don't know when or where or how many people will be
affected... maybe there is no hidden/deeper meaning to be read into an
event or non-event... maybe the only real pattern is that there's more
crap in the summer than there is in the winter...

I just today received my first four Swen e-mails, well actually
they were stripped of the worm by my ISP and I was notified
of the action. They came from connect dot com dot au, and I
can't think of whom that could be.

...so from zero to four, that's quite an increase for me, I sure
hope it drops off soon.

My ISP filters out SWEN etc.
 
I wish you hadn't said that.
Anyway, Telstra got struck down the other day. Not surprising, the biggest
you are, the more strike area you've got.
I thought they've distributed their system resource but from what I can see,
it's pretty centralised.

Lucky they haven't faced a physical atatck yet then.
