I keep getting an error message saying Internet Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem.


The PC then shuts down or freezes when in the middle of
something.

Spyware could be one of the first reasons for this.

Download and install Ad-aware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Spybot Search and destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org

Download and install these programs, use the "update" option and then scan
your system for spyware and scumware. This could solve the problem.
