I am running XP on a Pentium 1 128MB Laptop with 3.5g
hard drive. I am having problems with too many windows
services running in the background, causing me to loss
connection to the internet. This computer is not in a
network, and uses dial up connection. Someone please
tell me what services that are running; I can stop and
How to keep them from starting at startup!

Your laptop is way too underpowered to run XP.. re-install a lesser
operating system..

there is a good site to tell u what each service do:
http://www.blkviper.com/ (not so user frindly site but
with a lot of useful info)

but i am not so sure that it will be much help, i manage
to reduce the memory the XP uses to level of 80 MB RAM
with network capability' i guess that u can lower the RAM
lever to somewhere to 65-75 MB RAM, even with that lavel u
left with around 50 MB RAM - u be able to run 1 big
program at any given moment, not so much of eXPerience...
