too many programs

Hello there i was just wondering, I seem to have a lot of programs and 80% i
need at one point or another and the rest are general ie spy adware stoppers.
But when i click start-programs i now get 4 rows of programs and the last
column are going off my screen so i can only just make them out. If i keep
adding any more programs and it starts a 5th row i will no longer be able to
see or click on these programs! Is there any way for me to tidy up these
lists without deleting programs.
Thank you so much for the help
Mel

You dont need more than two adaware apps.
Deleting the entry in the programs menu doesnt delete the app, only the
shortcut.
Create Folders in your Start Up menu and move shortcuts to the relevent
folder

If you put the mouse over 'start' and 'right click' you can select 'Explore
All Users'.
(If you select 'Explore' you will only make changes to your users start
menu, handy if you want to remove certain programs from the kids account)

This will open the 'Start Menu' in an explorer window. Double click on
'Programs' and you will see all the groups on your current start menu.

Create some new folders and give them names for the various groups you want
to use. .i.e Internet, Work, Games, etc.

You can now drag and drop your various programs into the folders and
dramatically reduce the number that appear when you select 'All programs'

Hope this helps.

Another basic option might be to right click the start button, properties,
advanced tab, start menu items, scroll down the list and check "Scroll
Programs"...

Simply use scroll option, startmenu (right click) properties > customize >
select scroll programs.
