Too many printers??

I have a user that has *intermittent* problems printing to a Brother
HL-1440 which is connected via LPT1...I`m starting to think that maybe
she has too many printers installed...which she wants access to all of
them (7 at last count...) Most are all TCP/IP printers except the
Brother, and I believe she mentioned once bringing the Brother home for
the weekend with her laptop, and didn`t have any problems, but as I
mentioned, it seems to be intermittent. So I`m wondering if all the
network printers installed is causing her problems when she`s
connected. I`m getting her to try putting all the printers offline in
the meantime to see if it could be that, but if anyone has info, it
will greatly be appreciated

Thanks

There are 16 printers that can be used by this particular
machine here, including some virtual ones. But an application
can only use only one printer at a time, be it on the parallel
port or one of several TCP/IP addresses or even printing to
file. The problem described seems to be one associated more
with the printer driver. Obtain a more current printer driver
for the Brother and re-install.
