Too many methods to fire events

I am using a SonyDVD403 video camera and can get movie into Sony laptop and
PicturePackage program using either USB connection or finalize disc and
import. The movie clip is saved as a mpeg file, which can then be imported
into WindowsXP Movie Maker 2.1. Now my problem - when a copy of this mpeg
file is transfered to my Dell 9150 desktop computer (new January this year),
it will not import into Movie Maker 2.1, I get the following notice.
Could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Most users can't handle the MPEG-2 files from DVDs without converting them
to other files.... see the Import Movie Source Files > Video > Discs page of
my website for conversion notes.
