Too many files ?

has anyone else run into this problem?

whn I am viewing my picture files using Windows Explorer if I have more than
roughly 11,000 files in one folder and have it set to view thumbnails it acts
like it searching forever for them and eventually hangs. No error ever comes
up it just doesn't do anything.

I can view them fine as a list and end up having to sort them out to view
them.

Is there a fix for this?

I think the answer is probably not to have 11,000 files in a folder with
the view set to thumbnails. It's possible that the thumbs.db file is
corrupt--it's XP's thumbnao cache. Try deleting it and then opening the
folder again. It will take a while to render and cache 11,000
thumbnails, but it might be OK after that.
